C++ SOFTWARE ENGINEER – DESKTOP
SugarSync is seeking a motivated and talented
desktop software engineer to create new and
exciting desktop applications. The desktop
applications consist of complicated C++ code as
well as UI interfaces. You will be a key
technical contributor in a small group creating
new features and maintaining our desktop
applications, a critical component to SugarSync’s
product line. Key project responsibilities include:
*Specify, design and implement features that
improve the utility, performance and scalability
of the SugarSync desktop applications
*Enhance and extend cross-platform components
that enable real-time sync of user data
*Provide engineering support for the live production environment as needed

REQUIREMENTS - All candidates must have
non-academic, paid industry experience of at least 3 years.
*3+ years of development using C++ on Windows,
Mac OS X or Linux desktop environment (we highly
prefer Windows desktop application experience)
*Deep understanding of object-oriented analysis and design patterns
*Experience with multi-threaded, asynchronous and
distributed software architecture
*Exposure to QT or MFC or similar library
*Able to thrive on an individual and team level with minimal supervision.
*Strong communication skills (verbal and
written), well organized, self-starter, strong
attention to detail, flexible, resourceful, able
to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment,
quick intellect, natural curiosity, mentoring and multi-tasking skills.

Education - BS/MS in Computer Science/Computer
Engineering or equivalent experience
