Our agile environment strives for best practices
of tools development and test automation
frameworks development suitable for platform
testing and QA methodologies. Key responsibilities include:
*Drive the creation of an automated testing
environment for the distributed computing
platform that has far reaching impact on the
growth of the SugarSync product and company
*Develop, integrate and maintain the most
suitable platform test automation framework
*Setup and maintain platform test environments
*Develop and maintain scripts and tools to load
platform-simulated test data to test environments
*Design and develop system stress test, system
performance test and system regression test
*Improve and document platform test strategies, procedures and processes
*Impart test expertise and QA methodologies to
development engineering team members
*Collect, aggregate and publish quality metrics
*Participate in platform feature development from
design to construction and release, working
together with product group and development engineers

++The SugarSync platform is built with high
scalability and performance in mind to enable
best data sync functionality supporting millions
of active users. The infrastructure of the
platform is built based on distributed
architecture with abstraction layers between
different modules and components. The
architecture includes clusters of API servers,
platform data sync applications and storage
infrastructure. High caliber quality assurance is
required to keep the highest integrity of the
platform while innovating with agility.

REQUIRED SKILLS - All candidates must have
non-academic, paid industry experience of at least 3 years.
*4+ years of recent programming experience using C++ and/or Java
*2+ years of recent experience within a
distributed UNIX/Linux environment with multi-threading
*2+ years of recent experience in a 24/7 mission critical environment
*Ability to script in UNIX and modify scripts for
automation and configuration management
*Familiarity with at least one of TCP/IP, UDP or Multicast
*Practical knowledge of Agile development test
design, methodologies and techniques
*Attention to detail, creative and a good
analytical thinker who has a passion for
continual improvements. Go-getter positive
attitude to drive solutions to problems.
Multi-tasking skills, a quick intellect and a
natural curiosity. Able to foster teamwork,
promote team collaboration/communication and gauge project progress.



DESIRED SKILLS

*Virtualization technologies (e.g. ESXI, VMWare)
*Intermediate knowledge of UNIX scripting with
Shell and at least one of Python or Perl
*SOA testing
*Knowledge in messaging middleware (e.g., Rabbit MQ, Active MQ, Kafka)
*Experience in testing and troubleshooting Clustered/HA systems
*2+ years of hands on experience of performance
test tools such as JMeter, NGrinder or similar tools
*Extensive experience in discussing, writing, and
developing test cases (or manual if can’t be
automated) with software engineers
*Hadoop core components and eco-system





EDUCATION

BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience (MS a plus)
