Product Design Engineer - iPhone

As a member of Apple’s iPhone/iPod product
design team, you will help to create the next
generation of the world's finest mobile devices.
 You will conceive, design, and bring into
production products that will re-define the
mobile experience. Â You will work closely with
many different cross functional teams including
Industrial Design, Hardware Engineering, Antenna,
Reliability, Packaging, Safety and Marketing.

You will be exploring and developing cutting edge
products and features that have never been done
before. The position requires a hands on can-do
attitude, a passion for exploring diverse aspects
of electromechanical design, and a willingness to take on risk.

Requirements:

* 3+ years experience product design (preferably consumer electronics)

* Nice to have: mechatronics or robotics design experience

* Strong analytical/problem solving skills and
general mechanical engineering analysis.

* Simulation skills (eg multibody dynamics,
electromechanical systems, circuits, Matlab)

* Experience designing control systems

* 3-D CAD skills

* Requires demonstrated ability in plastic and metal part design.

* Working knowledge of finite element analysis
theory and ability to use statistical tools and techniques.

* Flexibility and comfort working in a quickly changing environment.

* Experience in Design for Manufacturability
(DFM), and Design for Assembly (DFA),

statistical tolerance analysis techniques,
functional dimensioning, and geometric tolerancing.

* creative and proactive team player

* BSME required, MS Preferred.

* Some travel required
