VytronUS, Inc. is a medical device start-up company located in
Sunnyvale CA developing a catheter ablation system for the treatment
of atrial fibrillation.

VytronUS has a paid, 6 month, mechanical test engineer position
open. The successful candidate must be capable of applying
scientific rigor in analyzing and characterizing new catheter
designs, and providing solutions that create a robust device, capable
of being used in clinical studies and for commercial sales.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Develop and author test methods, protocols and reports used for
evaluation of prototypes and product performance
2. Detailed prototype design, build, test, and iteration
3. Generation, design and development of new device concepts focused
on satisfying user/clinical needs
4. Generation of formal design documentation, review, and control
(e.g. design reviews, ECOs, mechanical drawings, etc.)
5. Perform other duties as assigned


Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Research and recommend manufacturing and test equipment and design tools
2. Run machine shop/lab equipment necessary for prototyping and testing
3. Ensure compliance with all local, state, federal and safety
regulations, policies and procedures
4. Participate in and present at department level meetings and project

Education Requirements:

1. Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical
Engineering or Material Science

Experience Requirements:
1. Proficient in solid modeling. SolidWorks preferred
2. Experience with design excellence and rapid product development
3. Passion for creating robust and reliable products
4. Disposable catheter design experience preferred
5. Able to lead one or more associate engineers and/or technicians
6. Knowledge of ISO requirements and GMP guidelines. Experience with
FDA regulations and medical device design control a strong plus
