UI / UX / Design Lead at EMME

San Francisco, CA



SUMMARY:

EMME is looking for a well-rounded designer who
excels at working on UI, UX, and design projects,
and who is excited to be part of building a
company from the early stages. You will be part
of a powerful mission delivering innovative and
empowering products that reimagine reproductive
healthcare for the modern woman.

As the first full time designer on the team, you
will have the unique opportunity to shape our
company’s design aesthetic and help to define
our overall user experience. Your work will be
seen in our app, our website, our social media
presence, and anywhere else that our users
interact with us. This senior position will
interface directly with our marketing team and
our engineering team to help create our product
roadmap and determine feature priorities. Over
time this role can potentially evolve into an
artistic director position that manages the creative team.

The Job:

    * Rapidly develop & prototype UX/UI concepts, workflows, and wireframes.
    * Work closely with PMs to define and refine product specifications.
    * Present your work effectively, and
articulately communicate design rationale to stakeholders.
    * Generate comprehensive information
architecture, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups,
and interactive prototypes for mobile platforms.
    * Collaborate closely with engineers through
clear communication and effective design handoffs.
    * Work with the marketing team to help create
a unified brand vision that can be maintained
across our app, website, social media, etc.
    * Create and nurture a culture of high
performance, continuous improvement, and ongoing
individual, team, and company growth.
    * Positively contribute to company culture by
bringing a dynamic, adaptive, energetic
personality, and be ready to change the world in
a high paced startup environment.
    * Passionate about creating a better future
for women’s health with a deep care for
customers and a commitment to having a strong, positive impact on their lives.




Desired Qualifications:

    * 4+ years of digital product design or relevant experience.
    * Portfolio with relevant experience
designing mobile apps, ideally for connected
hardware products and/or health & wellness.
    * Experience with understanding user needs
and designing UI specifically to address those needs.
    * Ability to create designs that are
functional but also fill users with joy
    * Well organized and self-motivated.
    * Embraces ambiguity, prioritizes
efficiently, communicates early, and ultimately gets-it-done.
    * Quick learner who works well independently
but also seeks a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
    * Ability to seek and give well-intentioned
real-time feedback with a constructive mindset in order for us all to improve.
