Marionet is looking for our second ME/mechatronics engineer to join
our team of four. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced,
dynamic environment, and be able to unblock yourself as needed.

This position is based in San Francisco, CA.

## About Marionet

Marionet is building a fully automated, commercial, AI-powered manicure robot.

Our vision is to bring automation, affordability and convenience to
the $54B beauty services market, starting with nails. Beauty is an
area that hasn't really seen disruptive tech. All the while, women
are spending a ton of time, money, and cognitive load on beauty services.

## Roles/Responsibilities:

- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to determine robot
requirements and specifications. Have the ability to communicate
design trade-offs to the rest of the team.

- Use a blend of electronics, mechanical and control system expertise
to problem solve and offer solutions to technical challenges on a day
to day basis.

- Iterate quickly through design ideas and iterations using rapid
prototyping techniques, quick turn machine shops, or off the shelf components.

- Assemble or build sub-assemblies and install them on the robot.
Interface with the robot via an API in order to test custom hardware
and overall robot performance.

- Research, select, and apply sensors, communication technologies, or
control devices for motion control, force sensing, weight sensing,
position sensing, pressure sensing, or electronic communication.

- Manage wiring and electronics for the entire lifecycle of a system
(design, fabrication, support)

- Conduct studies to determine the feasibility, costs, or performance
benefits of new mechatronic equipment.


### Pre-requisites:

- Relevant industry experience
- Degree in mechatronics/control systems/electronics/electrical engineering
- Proven experience bringing products to market
- Strong CAD proficiency in Solidworks, Inventor, or Fusion360


### Preferred Experience:

- Experience with PLCs
- Experience with PDM systems and maintaining drawing sets for
suppliers and manufacturers
- Specifying, designing, and validating motion platforms
