PRIZE DISPENSER
Closeup of prize dispenser (from below)
We decided to use short motor pulses to dispense a couple of stickers on a strip of stickers from a roll as the game's prize. The sticker roll hangs on a horizontal bar attached underneath the console top panel, with its free end of the strip pointing towards a slot near the bottom of the console. A motor (mounted in a foamcore cradle) with a foam wheel on its shaft (constructed with layers of decorative foam) pressing on the sticker strip against the underside of the console top panel pulls the sticker strip towards the slot as the wheel rotates. To prevent the sticker strip from misaligning with the dispensing slot and looping against itself before reaching the slot, the sticker strip travels through a thin channel under a masonite plate attached to the underside of the console top panel. In addition, a foamcore block at the end forces the dispensing slot to be the only exit for the sticker strip.
